Challenge #10 – LAST ONE!
February 5, 2007Challenge #9
February 5, 2007Challenge 9 – Libby
February 3, 2007This one was a little trickier than I thought it would be! I actually had to put some thought into it.
I had real self-esteem issues as a teen. I was borderline anorexic (friends even called my mom at work because they were so scared for me). The journaling says:
Dear Elizabeth,
You are not fat. I know you think you are, but at 102 pounds, you’re actually too thin. As you get older, you’ll realize that your true friends don’t care how big you are. Just enjoy your teen years without worrying about what you eat. Trust me.
Love, Libby (the older and wiser you)

Challenge 10 – Libby
February 2, 2007I think this was the most fun challenge of all! This time, we had to scraplift each other! I had such a tough time choosing between Dianne’s layouts, but I ended up going with this one:

But I also tried to use colors that she would normally use, stitching like she loves, and a picture of my dog (as she is the best “pet scrapper” around!). It’s no Dianne, but I’m happy with the way it came out.

Challenge #7 – Libby
January 27, 2007This is my take on the sketch that Dianne posted the other day. I had to alter it a little because I really wasn’t digging my photo in a circle. LOVE this new kit by Melissa Bennett. It was perfect for this picture!

Challenge #8 – Road Block!! (Libby)
January 26, 2007This is my semi-finished project for challenge #8 (a roadblock which only I need to complete). The challenge was to decorate our home with a digital scrapping project. There were lots of options with this challenge!
I want to have the picture part professionally printed (this is just on cardstock from my home printer, and it’s very dull — the colors are off). But since this has to be posted this weekend, I don’t have time to wait for a print. I’ll fix it when I get that printed.
I’ve been wanting to make one of these clocks since Donna Downey’s Photo Decor book came out. I’ve had all the stuff here just waiting for an excuse to make one.
The design was all done on the computer, and then I printed it out and added it (along with some black cardstock and white paint) to a 3/4″ thick piece of wood. The clock parts are just some cheap ones I found at WM in the craft dept.
Digital supplies used:
Poppy Andrews’ Frilly paper pack from ElementalScraps.com

Now to try to figure out what to do with that sketch!

Journaling:
I absolutely love to read. From Danielle Steel to Harry Potter to the Left Behind Series or biographies, I’ll read it all! The book that has made the most impact on my life though is one called Boundaries. This book has taught me that it’s okay to say “no” and not to allow others to take advantage of me. As a natural born people pleaser, this is a hard lesson to learn. But this book has given me the courage to take control!
